CorrectDeck Decking
CorrectDeck is crafted from recovered Maine hardwood fiber and rugged, UV-stabilized polypropylene. CorrectDeck combines a unique polypropylene-based formula with a highly advanced manufacturing process to yield a superior material. CorrectDeck was the first composite decking manufacturer to use polypropylene instead of polyethylene. Polypropylene (think of Tupperware® or those red gas cans) makes it stronger, stiffer, and lighter than other composites, so it can span longer distances and withstand higher temperatures with less expansion and contraction.

There are two types of CorrectDeck:
Standard CorrectDeck- Polypropylene (PP) formulation makes standard CorrectDeck superior to wood and ordinary polyethylene (PE) composites
- More durable & stiffer than leading composites
- Water and moisture resistant
- Wood grain finish won’t wear out and surface is scratch resistant
- Won't absorb moisture
- No need for sanding, staining, or painting
- Environmentally Friendly - Made of recycled materials, no toxic chemicals or preservatives
- Stays cooler underfoot and is less slippery
- Safe from splinters
- Polypropylene (PP) is the strongest plastic used in a decking material
- Resists the scratches and marring so common with inferior polyethylene (PE) composites
- Never springy
- Microban protection is built in during manufacturing to "Deck the Microbes"
- Durable, co-extruded antimicrobial layer encases each board
- Fights fading and grease stains
- Rich, embossed woodgrain finish does not wear out
- No need for sanding, staining, or painting
- Super low-maintenance (you simply wash it off with a hose)

CorrectDeck uses a mix of virgin and recycled plastic. Our primary source of recycled polypropylene is postal totes - those white plastic boxes that the mail comes in at the office. Polypropylene, being durable, is not used in many disposable items. Common applications are rope, car batteries, car bumpers, and red gas cans. Postal totes are our only source of clean, uncolored polypro (as you can imagine, we can't use off-color plastic in our premium decking).

Standard CorrectDeck colors will fade about 10%. This process is over in 16 weeks, staying close to the original color. CorrectDeck CX is fade resistant and will retain its natural appearance. CorrectDeck decking requires periodic cleaning just like wood. However, it doesn’t need to be stained like wood.
Standard CorrectDeck is available in Mahogany, which is dark brown; Cedar, which is light brown; and Coastal Grey, which is a bright blue grey. Acadia is available for special order.
CorrectDeck CX is available in these same three colors as well as Merlot, a rich burgundy color; and Cottage Green, which is a dark green.
