Kleer is expanded, cellular PVC that looks, feels, and works like wood, but outperforms wood in most exterior non-structural applications. Kleer PVC trim products are available with either a smooth finish or natural wood grain finish that closely resembles the appearance of real cedar. The matte finish of Kleer products looks like painted wood, not like shiny plastic.
Most exterior wood problems are related to the absorbing of moisture. Kleer is impervious to moisture and it offers superior durability and low maintenance. Kleer will not rot, splinter, delaminate or swell excessively due to moisture.
Kleer does not need paint, but may be painted with 100% acrylic latex paint or other paints specifically formulated for vinyl products. Kleer does not absorb moisture, so paint typically lasts for years and years on Kleer.

Kleer™ can be applied in direct contact with masonry, concrete, ground, or other potentially wet surfaces. Kleer™ is ideal in high humidity areas or salt and fresh water environments because of its superior durability and resistance to moisture.
Another advantage of Kleer™ is that it shapes, mills, bends, and machines much easier than wood. Traditional woodworking equipment can be used to achieve practically any finished fabricated assembly you can imagine. Additionally, a wide range of assembly techniques, such as power nailing, stapling, and gluing can be utilized. Kleer™ is uniform throughout, with no core voids, grain or knots to worry about.
